The Artificial Intelligence Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM) is a tool developed by UNESCO to help countries put the Recommendation on the Ethics of AI into practice. By providing a comprehensive snapshot of a nation’s AI ecosystem, RAM highlights key governance gaps and opportunities. It enables UNESCO to work closely with governments to strengthen capacities, build effective institutions, and ensure that AI systems are developed and used in line with ethical principles and human rights.
