The man-made malnutrition crisis in Gaza

🔴 Before the war, malnutrition in Gaza was almost non-existent. But for two and a half years, the systematic blockade of humanitarian aid and ongoing insecurity has severely restricted access to food. Between 16 October and 30 November 2025, around three quarters of the population in Gaza were estimated to be facing high levels of acute food insecurity, according to the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC). While the current ceasefire has somewhat stabilised the situation, it's still extremely fragile. Our teams continue to admit new patients for malnutrition as Gaza’s population is forced to endure deliberately undignified living conditions. We call on the Israeli authorities and its allies to facilitate adequate and sustained entry of vital assistance for people living in Gaza.
