Help Us Ban M-44 Cyanide Bombs... Again

Wildlife-killing M-44 "cyanide bombs" are back. M-44s are spring-loaded metal cylinders covered in a sweet-smelling scent to lure foxes, coyotes, birds and other wildlife. It just takes a little tug before a deadly dose of poison shoots out, sending the animal into a slow and agonizing death. M-44s are indiscriminate. In 2024 alone they killed at least 4,664 animals — including many accidental deaths. They've also killed family pets and injured kids. In 2023, after a decade of advocacy by the Center and our allies, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management banned the use of these devices on the lands it manages. But now, under the Trump administration, the agency has quietly reversed that ban. We fought to get them banned before and we won. We'll do it again — but we need as many people's help as possible.
