Social Dialogue for Peace and Crisis Prevention in Sri Lanka
The United Nations in Sri Lanka, in partnership with the Government of Sri Lanka, has launched a new joint project aimed at strengthening social dialogue and promoting inclusive economic recovery in Sri Lanka.
The initiative, which will be implemented by UNESCO, UNFPA Sri Lanka and the International Labour Organization, comes at an important time as Sri Lanka continues to grapple with significant economic challenges.
The aim is to seek to address these critical issues by establishing and strengthening dialogue and dispute resolution mechanisms at both national and local levels. The project is funded by the UN Sri Lanka SDG Fund with support from Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, the UN Secretary General’s Peacebuilding Fund and the Joint SDG Fund.
