Protect Progress

Protect Progress

The progress women and girls have fought for didn’t happen by accident. It was built — step by step, decade by decade — by people who believed in fairness, safety and opportunity. And through so many of these moments, at home and worldwide, the UK played a supporting role: Passing landmark laws. Backing global movements. Championing women’s rights. Helping to shape a fairer, safer future. But in 2025, that progress is buffering. The UK is cutting funding for women and girls — the very programmes it once championed. Globally, rights are rolling back and violence is rising. The UK can choose to reset its allyship and help protect the progress we’ve made, and the future we all want. We must #ProtectProgress — because equality can’t wait. Will you join us? Sign our Open Letter to the Foreign Secretary - careint.uk/progress
