Galactic Crush (Trailer) Stephanie Kayal, Abed Kobeissy Frankfurt Moves! 2022 In a parallel universe, a mysterious explosion devastates a city ruled by evil. Having recently gained superpowers due to chemical exposure from the blast, a dancer anti-hero teams up with her side-kick musician; they seek vengeance... With good intentions, and no experience whatsoever, they prepare to fight the villains, bring them to justice, and save us all. By and with Stephanie Kayal & Abed Kobeissy Stephanie Kayal is a performance artist, dancer, and choreographer based in Beirut, Lebanon. She is currently developing her second creation, to be premiered at NEXT festival - Kortrijk 2022, a performance that echoes the end-of-times situation in Lebanon right now and is a loosely connected sequel to her debut work Evidence of Things Not Seen (2021), a performance about a family haunted by dance and its own past. Abed Kobeissy is an electro-acoustic musician and composer based in Beirut, Lebanon. Having performed in over 18 countries, his work holds a strong local identity, without claiming any traditional or ethnic representation. Ranging from solo projects, to collaborations, to music for film, theater and dance, his projects rely on the local urban soundscape as the main generator of its language, often tackling subjects related to family and home.
