Ninety percent of the world’s 1.8 billion youth live in developing countries where people overwhelmingly rely on polluting fuels and stoves to cook their food. However, youth are not adequately valued across the clean cooking sector, resulting in limited access to information, inclusive opportunities, and skill development. The Clean Cooking Alliance (CCA) is dedicated to igniting the passion, harnessing the potential, and amplifying the impact of young individuals in driving the clean cooking agenda forward. CCA's Youth Engagement Program strives to facilitate increased impact and expanded action to address young people’s needs, build their agency, and advance their opportunities for leading ambitious, clean cooking transitions. Together with partners, CCA supports awareness-raising and professional training, youth leadership and innovation, youth-inclusive funding, policies, and research.
