Welcome to Shamba Shape Up Series 16! This is week we are in Kimolwet in Bomet County and we are visiting farmer Rev. Bernard and his wife Gladys Bii. They live in farm on 1and ½ acres. They started in 2020 with 2 cows and now have 8 and 2 calves. A ¼ acre has tea. They hope to grow their chicken business. We will look at breeding hygiene for mastitis prevention. The stihl sprayer can be part of this as well as spraying crops. We are going to learn about: 1. Financially empowering women farmers in various ways. 2. How best farmers can protect and increase their milk production. 3. How some tools can help us be better farmers.
