Back to back typhoons in the Philippines

The #Philippines has felt the full weight of the climate crisis over the past few weeks, with Super-Typhoon Fung-wong and Typhoon Kalmaegi devastating communities. These typhoons come in the wake of the powerful 6.9-magnitude earthquake that struck Cebu and neighbouring provinces in September. 

The combined impact of the back-to-back disasters is overwhelming local capacity. Women and girls are especially at risk; in evacuation centres without proper facilities, they are exposed to an increased risk of violence.
