Teachers are essential to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4, which commits to ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all by 2030. Yet, many educators face persistent challenges related to working conditions, professional development, and recognition. This video presents examples from Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Mali and Madagascar, drawn from a recent independent evaluation conducted by UNICEF on Teacher Development and Improved Learning Outcomes. These cases illustrate promising practices in teacher motivation, inclusive leadership, and peer support—highlighting how targeted interventions can strengthen education systems and improve learning environments for every child.
