FINS Training of Trainers workshop in Seychelles

FINS Training of Trainers workshop in Seychelles

UN DESA’s Financing for Small Island Developing States (FINS) initiative, in partnership with the Government of Seychelles, hosted an Integrated National Financing Framework (INFF) training of trainers from 4–7 February 2025 in Mahé, Seychelles. This was a 4-day workshop designed to support national capacity to apply the INFF approach. The workshop helped officials understand how the INFF can support the priorities of the National Development Strategy (NDS) 2024–2028, build a comprehensive understanding of the INFF and its four building blocks, apply concepts and tools in day-to-day responsibilities, and formulate an action plan for INFF application. Participants worked through assessment and diagnostics, financing strategy, monitoring and review, and governance and coordination via presentations, mock sessions and practical exercises tailored to Seychelles’ context. As a training of trainers, participants will be able to share knowledge and train other relevant government officials in applying the INFF. This video presents perspectives from participants and facilitators on how the INFF can help align financing with national priorities, enhance policy coherence and accountability, and support longer-term implementation of the NDS.
