UN DESA, CREIA, and Global Solar Council are launching the new flagship report titled PV+ and Opportunities for South-South Cooperation: Solar Energy Use for Sustainable Development. This report highlights integrated solar solutions for sustainable development in emerging and developing regions. This research effort promotes the deployment of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems integrated with productive and social sectors such as agriculture, buildings, and transport - an approach termed “PV+.” The event will explore how PV+ applications can drive economic transformation, improve living standards, and help avoid carbon lock-in by enabling clean energy access across low- and middle-income countries.
