I still remember that 24 February was Thursday. The schedule of compulsory classes for our year of studies included a single lecture on municipal law. 13:30. Kliuchkovskyi Yurii Bohdanovych [municipal law professor] starts the online meeting. He is joined by an exceptional number of students, filled with fear and helplessness. Yurii Bohdanovych, one of the authors of the modern Constitution of Ukraine, talked to us with a smooth voice about Ukraine and its fights that lie ahead. Later, I often recalled this 40-minute conversation as one of the most valuable lectures of all years of my bachelor’s degree. The lecture ended at about 2:10 pm. A few hours later, the towns and villages of some of our fellow students were occupied; some of us were still in underground parking places sheltering; some were already heading to the West of the country via the Zhytomyr highway; some were thinking their way abroad through... However, today is day no. 855, and our expectations of ourselves, the Academy, and the world have long since crossed the line of adaptation to the new reality and require direct participation in it."
