Low Plastic Zone (LPZ) Initiative | Reducing Single-Use Plastics in BIH HoReCa Sector
The Low Plastic Zone (LPZ) Initiative in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BIH) focuses on reducing single-use plastics (SUPs) in the HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, and cafés). Through direct outreach, trained staff engaged with 750 HoReCa businesses, educating them on the environmental harm of single-use plastics and promoting sustainable alternatives.
Businesses received guidance on plastic reduction strategies, SUP avoidance, and eco-friendly solutions tailored to daily operations. The goal of the LPZ Initiative is to reduce plastic waste, lower single-use plastic consumption, and support sustainable business practices across Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Topics covered:
Low Plastic Zone, LPZ Initiative, single-use plastics, plastic pollution, HoReCa sustainability, plastic alternatives, waste reduction, environmental protection, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
