Doctors Without Borders forced to close Lankien hospital after bombing in #SouthSudan

Doctors Without Borders was forced to permanently close Lankien hospital in #SouthSudan after a bomb was dropped from a plane into the hospital compound on Feb. 3. The facility was then further damaged by looting and vandalism. This is the fourth facility in the country to be destroyed since 2025. For 31 years, the hospital provided healthcare to around 250,000 people. Today, communities in Lankien are left without access to medical services.
