#Myanmar: A Doctors Without Borders patient shares his #tuberculosis treatment story
This animation tells the story of Aung Thura*, a 20-year-old patient from #Myanmar supported by Doctors Without Borders, who successfully completed #tuberculosis (#TB) treatment.
In 2024, only 23 per cent of people estimated to have multidrug-resistant TB in Myanmar were initiated on treatment.
Completing treatment is becoming increasingly difficult. Ongoing conflict and restrictions on the movement of medical supplies continue to disrupt access to care.
Watch his story.
