In many of the geographies where we work, locally developed children’s literature is often limited or nonexistent. 📚 That's why Room to Read acts as both a nonprofit book publisher and an active supporter of local for-profit publishers. We partner with local publishers, their staff, and local authors, illustrators and designers to create and distribute local language books that keep children captivated and motivated to read as they build their hashtag#literacy skills. 📗 📈 💙 We also purchase millions of children’s books to distribute around the world, and partner with commercial publishers to make our titles available both digitally and in print.
