A new generation of environmental leaders is emerging in Mauritius — combining activism, science, culture and community action to respond to climate and ecological challenges. This episode of Island Voices for Nature feartures Krishna Pentayah, founder of the youth-led NGO Sov Lanatir, which has mobilized thousands of young people around environmental restoration, climate awareness and ecological resilience. From post-Wakashio restoration efforts to mangrove regeneration and environmental education initiatives, his actions reflects how youth leadership is increasingly shaping conversations around sustainability and climate justice in Mauritius.
