How IFAW and CLZ support ranger welfare in Zambia
We’re on the banks of the Zambezi River, one of Africa’s great rivers, visiting IFAW’s partners at Conservation Lower Zambezi (CLZ) and Zambia’s Department of National Parks and Wildlife in Lower Zambezi National Park.
In this video, Matt Morley explains how IFAW is working with partners to support park operations — including providing reliable access to water for ranger outposts. In extreme heat, often reaching 35–40°C, water is essential for the men and women patrolling this vast landscape.
These practical, life-saving improvements help rangers do their jobs safely and effectively — protecting wildlife, ecosystems, and one of Africa’s most important protected areas.
