Survival of indigenous population at risk if ecosystems are not saved - WWF Conservation Director

Indigenous communities are often the ones that bear the brunt of biodiversity loss and climate change. In the Amazon especially, a large percentage of the population depends directly on natural resources for their survival. But if current trends on biodiversity loss continue, these communities will be among the first and most severely impacted. This crucial point was underscored by Aiesha Williams, Conservation Director for Guyana and Suriname, WWF Guianas. #GBA2025 #IndigenousPeoples #GlobalBiodiversityAlliance #OnePlanetOneFuture #BiodiversitySummit #Guyana #ClimateLeadership
