She had never heard of a savings group. Today, she has a home, a harvest, and a future for her children. 🌾 Meet Natyang Anna from Kaabong, Karamoja. Before ADRA and the REAP Project came to her community, Anna had no idea what a village savings group was. When she first joined, she struggled — she wasn't consistent with meetings and felt vulnerable and unsure of herself. But she kept showing up. And slowly, everything changed. Through the St. Daniel Women Development Saving Group, Anna learned skills she had never had access to before. Financial planning. Agriculture. Community support. And with those skills came results that transformed her family's life: 🏠 She built her own house 🫘 She harvested 150kg of beans last year 📈 She started her own agriculture business 🍽️ She can now feed her family consistently 🎒 Her children are going to school — supported by both her and her husband Also featured in this video is Lutyang Pasca, Chairperson of the St. Daniel Women Development Saving Group. Under her leadership, the group keeps their savings in the bank — and last year, members earned between 3,000,000 and 7,000,000 UGX each. Every member uses their money differently, but one thing is the same: the standard of living across the entire group has improved dramatically.
