On the International Day of Forests: Voices from the Bolivian Amazon

This International Day of Forests, listen to the voices of those who live in and care for the Amazon. 🌳 For communities in Bolivia’s Amazon, the forest means life, love, and spiritual peace. It is also food, livelihood, identity, and hope for future generations. Through the AMAS-1 joint programme, implemented by WFP, FAO, ILO, and IFAD under the leadership of the UN Resident Coordinator in Bolivia, with support from the Joint SDG Fund and the UN Food Systems Coordination Hub, communities are strengthening sustainable food systems and forest-based livelihoods while protecting the Amazon.
