Care is the foundation of every society — sustaining families, communities, and economies — yet it has often remained invisible and undervalued. This programme supported Türkiye in strengthening a more inclusive and sustainable care system, expanding access to services, creating decent work opportunities, and placing care at the center of social and economic development. Funded by the Joint SDG Fund, the programme was coordinated by the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office and led by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office, in collaboration with UNDP and with technical support from UN Women, UNICEF, and UNFPA.
