In Ghana’s Upper West Region, women are transforming peacebuilding
Queen Mothers and Fulbe women are gaining the skills and confidence to lead, mediate conflicts, and contribute to community development – with support from the Upper West Regional House of Chiefs, in collaboration with the IOM implemented Coastal States Stability Mechanism (CSSM).
This initiative empowers women to take their rightful place in decision-making processes while strengthening collaboration between communities and local authorities. By amplifying women’s voices and fostering inclusion, it is helping to build more peaceful, resilient communities.
