Delivering for children in Haiti: UNICEF’s response in 2025 | UNICEF Haiti

Armed group violence continues to uproot families across Haiti, forcing more than 741,000 children from their homes. The crisis has deeply disrupted education, with over 1,600 schools closed or used as temporary shelters in 2025. UNICEF and its partners are delivering support across education, health, child protection, nutrition and mental health services. In 2025, more than 34,180 students benefited from catch-up classes, while 97,358 children affected by the crisis received psychosocial and mental health support, among other life-saving interventions.
