Drought - Nature's Final Warning

Drought - Nature's Final Warning

Balochistan, a province rich in natural resources, is facing an escalating water crisis. Over the past two decades, access to clean drinking water has become increasingly difficult, affecting both urban and rural communities. In Quetta, a city of nearly 2.5 million people, a large portion of the population now depends on water tankers to meet daily needs. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has also declared Quetta and 12 other districts drought-affected, highlighting the growing severity of water scarcity in the province. This documentary by Saadullah Akhtar, produced under Frames of Change by Accountability Lab Pakistan in collaboration with Green Media Initiative, sheds light on the human impact of drought, water shortages, and the struggle for one of life’s most basic necessities.
