Huda Ikram, Senior Political Advisor at the British Deputy High Commission, Karachi, emphasized the growing importance of addressing climate change while speaking at World Wetlands Day seminar held at Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Karachi. She noted that while awareness about climate impacts is increasing, many people affected by rapid environmental changes are still unaware of the extent and causes of these impacts. Highlighting her recent visit to Interior Sindh, she observed both challenges and encouraging signs of acknowledgment among communities. She called for deeper understanding and collective efforts to prevent further climate damage and to empower individuals and policymakers to take informed action.
