Syed Faisal Karim, anchor and journalist, highlighted the growing urgency of protecting Pakistan’s wetlands while speaking on the occasion of World Wetlands Day seminar held at Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology, Karachi. He underscored that wetlands across the country are rapidly shrinking due to encroachment, pollution, and neglect, threatening biodiversity as well as the livelihoods of communities that depend on these ecosystems, and called for collective action to protect and restore these vital natural resources.
