Behind the Frame of Survival by Mahikan Rind

Gomazi, a village in Balochistan, is facing severe water scarcity in the aftermath of the 2010 floods. With limited infrastructure and prolonged drought-like conditions in the region, access to clean water remains a daily challenge. Once home to around 50 families, most have migrated, leaving only 13 households behind. These families rely on children to travel long distances to fetch water, often spending hours waiting for their safe return. This documentary by Mahikan Rind, produced under Frames of Change by Accountability Lab Pakistan in collaboration with Green Media Initiative, highlights the lasting impact of climate disasters and the ongoing struggle for basic resources in vulnerable communities.
