Fran Lasmar Presents: How Regenerative Agroforestry is Transforming Farming in Brazil
Join Fran Lasmar as she introduces the Agroforest for Carbon, Ecosystems and Livelihoods project—an initiative supporting regenerative agroforestry models that restore ecosystems, strengthen rural livelihoods, and contribute to climate mitigation. Developed with the DeveloPPP Innovation Facility, IUCN, and KfW, this work focuses on practical solutions for regions facing climate risks, land degradation, and declining productivity. By combining trees, crops, soil restoration, and community participation, these systems improve resilience, diversify income opportunities, and rebuild ecological functions over time. The presentation also emphasizes why farming families must be at the center of the process—co-creating solutions that are durable, empowering, and scalable across landscapes.
