On Feb. 3, 2026, PRB and CREG (https://creg-center.org/) hosted the first webinar in their Kenya Care Work and Policy Series, “Understanding the Demographic Transition & Its Implications for Care.” Speakers: Aïssata Fall is West and Central Africa Representative at PRB, based in Dakar, Senegal. She has more than 30 years of experience in West and Central Africa, upholding the rights of the most vulnerable people through a range of areas including local development, democratic dialog, decentralization, and access to basic social services. Dr. Mohamed A. Sheikh is the Director General for Kenya’s National Council for Population and Development, a semi-autonomous government agency mandated to advise and coordinate population issues in the country. A medical doctor, Dr. Sheikh also a holds a master’s degree in international public health and maternal and child health. Professor Latif Dramani is chair of the international NTA Network, which brings together more than 100 countries worldwide, and Coordinator of the Regional Consortium for Research in Generational Economics (CREG), based in Thiès, Senegal. He has made significant contributions to the development of tools and the generation of evidence in more than 15 countries in West and Central Africa.
