The Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH) and the Public Health Laboratory – Ivo de Carneri, Pemba, Tanzania, have a long-standing collaboration. Over the last two decades, those two together with other institutions have been conducting research and implementing interventions against the parasitic worm disease schistosomiasis in Pemba Island, Tanzania.
