Avenija is a women-led business association supporting mainly marginalised women from rural areas, and champions economic empowerment and education, as well as supporting #domesticviolence survivors, through production of various handicrafts for sale at events across the region. Representing the association, Ivana participated at the annual πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡³ United Nations Global Open Day on Women, Peace and Security event in Kosovo organised by UNMIK and UN Women Kosovo in Pristina in May. The event included panel discussions and was followed by a trade fair of different products produced by 13 Kosovo women-led businesses, selling everything from clothes to medicinal products.
