Meet the residents and employees behind Catalonia’s housing transition - Nacho
Spain’s construction industry lost 64% of its workforce after 2008. Today, across Catalonia, developers give priority for renovations and construction work to labour inclusion organisations like Projectes Mansol, a social enterprise that trains and employs people with disabilities, and those at risk of exclusion. Their training now extends to renewable energy installations, creating a new green skills workforce. Mansol has trained more than 400 workers in three years, including Nacho.
