“I don’t just treat a disease.” Martin Apass, a health worker in the Upper East Region of Ghana, cares for dozens of patients with swollen legs (lymphedema), caused by Lymphatic Filariasis. With his support they and their families are learning to understand and manage their condition. As well as pain and disability, people with swollen limbs (lymphedema) also face stigma.
