The side of Bali no one shows you.

The side of Bali no one shows you.

This is the side of Bali no one shows you. 🇮🇩 ❤️ Beyond the beaches and luxury villas, many hardworking locals live in modest shared housing, because owning a home here simply isn’t affordable. But in the heart of these communities, something powerful is happening. Through Plastic Bank, local collectors are turning plastic waste into opportunity. They clean their neighbourhoods, protect the environment, and earn income to support their families. During my visit, we shared a simple moment that meant everything. We brought rice boxes to break the fast together. Each one costs about €1.50 / 1.60 USD but here, that’s not just a meal. It’s a rare luxury, something many only experience once or twice a year. And yet, despite having so little, their kindness was overwhelming. Their warmth, their generosity, it stays with you long after you leave. This is the real Bali. Human. Resilient. Beautiful. If you feel inspired to be part of something bigger, help turn plastic into opportunity and support these incredible communities. Join us in sharing prosperity.
