This session addresses the "precision paradox" in humanitarian mine action, where overhyped AI marketing masks critical technical limitations. We aim to bridge the gap between "black-box" algorithms and the ground truth of the minefield by promoting transparent, human-centred AI development. This event targets donors, technology providers, and demining practitioners. Together, we will explore how a "One Humanity" approach ensures that technology serves as a consultant to human judgement, protecting lives through meaningful accountability.
