Beyond Survival: Victim Assistance, Trauma Care, and Psychosocial Support in EO-Affected Syria
As explosive ordnance casualties rise in Syria, victim assistance remains one of the most underfunded and often overlooked pillars of mine action. This event will bring forward perspectives from survivors and practitioners to highlight gaps in trauma care, rehabilitation, and psychosocial support. It will examine what is needed to ensure sustained, inclusive support to survivors, their families, and communities — recognising victim assistance as a lifelong commitment.
