International Women's Day 2021

International Women's Day 2021

During the Covid19 response, Rohingya women played an important role in keeping their family and community safe. Action Against Hunger’s WaSH program has long been engaging members of the refugee community, both men and women, in its hygiene promotion activities. Over the years, local capacity is developed within the community and during this Covid19 pandemic, Rohingya volunteers made all the difference by raising awareness on the importance of washing hands regularly, maintaining personal hygiene to stay safe, and keeping family members safe from the Covid19 outbreak. On this International Women's Day 2021, let’s celebrate inspirational women like Rabiya who #ChooseToChallenge every day to bring positive changes in her community. This short-film is made possible with the generous support from the European Union and technical collaboration with BBC Media Action.
