More than half of the Rohingya refugees living in Bangladesh are women. They face hardship and are not treated equally to men in their families and communities. Their struggle is not their own anymore. In this video, we show Faresa's journey to empowerment. Today she is at ease and peace. She has overcome her feelings of distress and now volunteers to support other women who have survived gender-based violence. Action Against Hunger's Mental Health and Psychosocial (MHPSS) services are supporting hundreds of women every day to realize their strength. This short-film features a project of Action Against Hunger Bangladesh, in coordination with BBC Media Action and funded by European Union (ECHO).
