Bangladesh Climate Crisis_ ACF Interventions_ Satkhira
Cyclones along the Bay of Bengal bring immediate devastation, but the *silent* health effects often go unnoticed.
Beyond the destruction, these natural disasters lead to long-term issues like skin infections, respiratory diseases, malnutrition, mental health struggles, and the spread of vector-borne diseases. Vulnerable populations, especially children and the elderly, are at heightened risk. It's crucial we address not just the immediate aftermath but also these lasting public health challenges that often get overlooked in the recovery process. ACF strives strengthen sustainable agriculture practices, livestock farming, fishing and other on-farm & off-farm activities in order to produce more food and income in a sustainable way for nutrition security.
