Information saves lives: COVID19 pandemic

With almost 800,000 Rohingya refugees living in the crowded camps in Cox's Bazar, getting information about COVID19 was essential. Action Against Hunger and its partner BBC Media Action changed the way life-saving information was delivered to the Rohingya community. By using technology (eg. WhatsApp, audio-visual content) to disseminate awareness-raising content and running discussion groups in the information hubs of Action Against Hunger, community members are informed about simple measures, such as wearing masks, covering mouth before sneezing/coughing, washing hands regularly, and maintaining social distancing to reduce their risk and stay safe from COVID19. This short film features a European Union-funded project of Action Against Hunger in collaboration with BBC Media Action.
