Access to sexual and reproductive health services should be convenient, private, and empowering. Through the #2gether4SRHR project, funded by the Kingdom of Sweden, self-care innovations are helping bring essential health services closer to communities across Burundi. From contraceptive self-injection with SAYANA Press to HIV self-testing, women and young people are gaining greater autonomy over their health while maintaining privacy and confidentiality. The initiative also strengthens the capacities of healthcare providers and community health workers, contributing to reduced unmet family planning needs, HIV prevention, and informed decision-making for healthier lives.
