Fleeing conflict, protecting dignity: UNFPA Burundi acts for refugee women and girls

Facing the growing humanitarian needs linked to the arrival of Congolese refugees fleeing the conflict in eastern DRC, UNFPA Burundi is scaling up its action in support of women, girls, and host communities.

An estimated USD 5 million is essential to sustain and strengthen life-saving interventions in sexual and reproductive health, as well as in the prevention of and response to gender-based violence (GBV), to ensure dignity, protection, and well-being for the most vulnerable populations.
