The Government of Burundi, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Burundi, in partnership with UNFPA Burundi, continues the implementation of the 9th Country Programme (2024–2027), a strategic framework aimed at improving sexual and reproductive health, empowering young people, and strengthening the fight against gender-based violence. This strong collaboration between UNFPA and the Government of Burundi has already led to tangible progress: expanded access to sexual and reproductive health services, increased support for youth, improved care for survivors of gender-based violence, and strengthened community protection mechanisms.
