We don't just remove trash from rivers and oceans worldwide; we study it too. There are many bite marks on plastic we caught from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch... We are currently analyzing this plastic to understand how different species engage with different types, colors, and shapes of plastic debris. This research will help us better understand the impacts of ocean plastic pollution on the environment and its inhabitants, and how they contribute to plastic fragmentation. Stay tuned for results!
