Indonesia is a key focus of our 30 Cities Program, with deployments planned for Jakarta, Denpasar (Bali), and Tasikmalaya (West Java). However, these will not be our first in-country deployments. Indonesia is home to our first river Interceptor, Interceptor 001 in Jakarta’s Cengkareng Drain, as well as Interceptor 020 in the nearby Cisadane River. Since deploying Interceptor 001 in 2019, we have worked closely with local authorities, communities, and organizations to develop effective solutions and build momentum to scale operations. This progress is driven by our on-the-ground impact and our ability to adapt to local conditions. Interceptor 020 best exemplifies this approach. Its challenges have revealed new opportunities to create solutions tailored to local contexts while complementing existing initiatives. Insights gained from this deployment are shaping not only future efforts in Indonesia but also deployments worldwide.
