India is strengthening pandemic preparedness through the One Health approach, Dr Rajiv Bahl, Director General, Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), shared at the WHO South-East Asia Region’s event to mark World Health Day 2026. The launch of the National One Health Mission—an inter-ministerial initiative - brings together multiple sectors to address health risks at the human-animal-environment interface.
