From 6 to 12 April 2026, in the framework of the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, WHITECARDinSPORT26 brought together over 300 young people in Reggio Calabria for a week of events, tournaments and workshops promoting inclusion, participation and community engagement. Through sport, the initiative fostered dialogue among diverse communities, encouraged new connections, and raised awareness on the importance of human rights, social inclusion and respect. Organised by the Centro Sportivo Italiano (CSI) of Reggio Calabria, in collaboration with local partners including UNICRI, the initiative highlighted the role of sport as a powerful driver of positive change. In a challenging global context, initiatives like WHITECARDinSPORT26 demonstrate how sport can strengthen social cohesion, empower young people, and contribute to building more inclusive and resilient communities.
