Meet Clema, a former refugee from Rwanda who spent 22 years living in a refugee camp in Zimbabwe before finding a new home in Northwest Arkansas thanks to Global Refuge partner Canopy NWA. Clema shares the challenges of living without a clear future and the profound impact of the resettlement process. Now working as a Youth Service Coordinator at Canopy Northwest Arkansas, Clema uses her bachelor's in psychology and lived experience to support refugee children, helping them navigate the school system, access supplies, and realize their full potential in a new country.
